Tubes out whole. Certificate back.
Got old light bulbs or lamps? We help process all types, shapes, and sizes. From CFLs to HIDs.
Every shape of lamp in the building.
Fluorescent tubes, CFLs, HIDs, mercury vapour, metal halide. They break, they contain mercury, and a broken tube in a dumpster is a reportable problem. We bring DOT-approved boxes sized for the tubes you actually have, pack them, and haul them to a registered facility.
Mercury. It is the reason lamps are regulated and the reason they cannot go in the trash.
- T8 and T12 fluorescent tubes
- U-bend and circline
- Compact fluorescent (CFL)
- High intensity discharge (HID)
- Metal halide and mercury vapour
- UV and germicidal lamps
The dumpster is where this one gets expensive.
One tube snapped in a dumpster is the whole problem. A broken lamp releases mercury vapour, and the moment that happens on your site it stops being a housekeeping question. Whole tubes in a proper box are routine. Broken glass loose in a bin is not.
Four things that keep a pickup boring.
None of this is a regulation, it is what makes the difference between a routine collection and a mess on the floor. We bring the DOT-approved boxes, so you do not need to source packaging.
- 01Keep tubes whole. Do not crush them, snap them, or tape them into bundles to save space.
- 02Leave them in the sleeves or cartons the replacement lamps arrived in if you still have them.
- 03Store them upright and dry, away from doorways and forklift traffic.
- 04Keep the box closed between additions so nothing gets knocked over.
The pickup ends the pile. The paperwork ends the exposure.
Certificate of Recycling
The document that says the material was recycled and names where it went. It is the piece an inspector or an auditor actually wants to see.

The proper paperwork and certificates verifying environmentally responsible disposal, made out to the business that generated the material.

We take care of the paperwork and make sure you have electronic copies, so the record is not one sheet of paper in one binder.

Tube length and a rough count. Four-foot and eight-foot tubes need different boxes, so the count by length is what decides which containers we bring.
No price appears on this site on purpose. What it costs depends on what it is, how much of it there is and where you are, so we would rather talk the job through than put a number on a page that turns out to be wrong for you.
Send us the count and we will bring the boxes.
The corner is clear, the certificate is in your file, and nobody has to think about the tubes again. Rough counts are fine, and a photo of the pile is fine.
