Where we run

Ohio, and Detroit.

Dayton first, and out from there. We do business in the cities where our friends and families live, so we care about keeping it clean and safe for future generations.

Primary market

Ohio, from Dayton out.

Dayton is home and it is where most of the work is. The other three are the Ohio metros the truck already runs to, which is a different claim from a branch in each one.

Second market

Detroit

Detroit is a second market rather than a line on a map. Melvin has family established there, and that is how the business got established in the city.

How the geography actually works

We come to you. There is nowhere to drop off.

We come to you. There is nowhere to drop material off, because the work is collection and transport: the boxes arrive at your building and leave full.

What we do not have is a depot in every city on this page. Material is collected at your building and transported, so a job further out is a question of the load and the drive rather than a local branch.

The van is the service area. There is nowhere to drop off, so the boxes come to you.
Public buyers

Set up to sell to a city, not just to a landlord.

Municipalities and public buyers are a real part of this work, not an aspiration. Gem City is a registered federal vendor and a minority-owned small disadvantaged business, which is the paperwork side of a public purchase already in place.

No public contract, agency or past job is named on this page, because none has been confirmed.

Who calls

The buildings this work comes out of.

Anyone responsible for a building generates this material eventually. These are the kinds of sites the work comes from, not a client list.

  • Municipal and government buyers
  • Property and facility managers
  • Schools and universities
  • Offices and business parks
  • Gyms and fitness chains
  • Warehouses and light industrial
  • Contractors and electricians
Outside the two markets

Not sure whether you are in range? Ask.

The answer depends on the size of the load as much as on the miles. Tell us where you are and what you have, and you will get a straight yes or no rather than a maybe.

Turn your city into a Gem City

Tell us the address and we will bring the boxes.

The pickup request takes the site address, the access notes and the material list in one go.
